Privacy policy

No cookies. No tracking. Little data.

What we process, why, for how long, who receives it and how to exercise your rights. This policy follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible.

  • Controller: Francesco Saudino, Via Pecev 9, 6952 Canobbio, Switzerland. Contact for all data protection questions: [email protected].

When you browse.

  • This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising, social media plugins or tracking of any kind. Fonts and all other files are served from this website; no third party is contacted while you browse.
  • Our hosting provider processes technical data that every browser sends when it requests a page: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the website and protect it against attacks. Hosting provider: Cloudflare, Inc., USA (Cloudflare Pages). Retention: according to Cloudflare's terms; we keep no server logs of our own.
  • Legal basis under the GDPR: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

What stays in your browser.

  • A few settings are kept in your browser's local storage so the website works as you chose: a dismissed language hint, the reduce-motion switch and an unsent draft of the contact form. A session marker prevents the opening animation from repeating.
  • Your browser may also keep a copy of the website's files so it opens without a connection.
  • This information never leaves your device and is never sent to LAS Desk. It is not used to identify or profile you. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings (site data).

When you contact us.

  • If you write to us, we process what you send: name, company, email address, the content of your message and the date. We use it only to reply, to assess whether a professional discussion makes sense and to conduct that discussion.
  • The contact form opens your own email app; nothing is transmitted until you send that email.
  • Legal basis under the GDPR: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Retention: we delete enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship no later than 24 months after the last contact, unless a longer period is required by law. Documents of a business relationship are kept for the statutory retention periods.
  • We do not sell personal data, do not use it for advertising and do not make automated decisions about you.

Recipients and transfers abroad.

  • Personal data is disclosed only to service providers that help us operate this website and our email, and only as far as needed: Cloudflare, Inc., USA (hosting, DNS and domain lasdesk.com); Infomaniak Network SA, Switzerland (domain lasdesk.ch); Google Workspace, Google Ireland Limited, Ireland, with processing also by Google LLC, USA (email).
  • Some providers may process data in the United States. Transfers take place where the recipient is certified under the Swiss-U.S. or EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or, otherwise, on the basis of the standard contractual clauses recognised by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) and the European Commission.

Your rights.

  • You can ask us at any time for information about the personal data we hold about you, and for its rectification, erasure or restriction. You can object to its processing and ask to receive it in a common electronic format.
  • Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future.
  • Write to [email protected]. We may ask for proof of identity.
  • You can lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, if you are in the EU, with the data protection authority of your country.

We may update this policy; the current version is always published here. Last updated: 22 October 2026.
